The POLO Rider Cup will be the ultimate Polo club competition at the international level. There are currently a multitude of Polo competitions around the world, from the oldest and most prestigious to anonymous club competitions. These competitions bring together independent teams, financed by a patron, but there are no club competitions that are organised or formatted to offer a 10-day international competition playing with the same rules in a single club. Along the lines of many professional sports having successfully achieved their sporting and financial transition, the idea underpinning the creation of the POLO Rider Cup is to initially bring together the best polo clubs in the world from eight different countries and later extend this selection to 16 clubs.
