FC Zürich is one of Switzerland’s most successful football clubs and is steeped in tradition. 12 championship titles and 10 cup wins, most recently in 2018, are testament to this. Founded in 1896, the club has provided its faithful supporters with plenty of emotionally charged moments over the years. It has also made international headlines – most memorably reaching the semi-finals of the European Cup in 1964 and 1977 and taking part in the UEFA Champions League in 2009/2010.
