Formed in 2004 as a high school band in Las Vegas, Panic! At The Disco signed their first record deal with Fall Out Boy guitarist Pete Wentz's label while still in high school and without ever having played a show. Barely two years later, during the big emo era with bands like My Chemical Romance and their mentors Fall Out Boy, the teenagers celebrate their breakthrough with the album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out and the hit song I Write Sins Not Tragedies, which is still a must at every alternative party.

In 2019, Panic! At The Disco contribute their version of the song Into The Unknown to the Disney success The Ice Queen 2, which earns them numerous comparisons with Queen. Alongside David Bowie, Weezer, Green Day and Blink-182, the rock icon is one of the great sources of inspiration for the band's unique style: back in 2016, they impressively covered the legendary Queen song Bohemian Rhapsody for the soundtrack of Suicide Squad. Meanwhile, the jack-of-all-trades Brendon Urie, unsurprisingly, also feels right at home in musical theatre: in 2015, the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist wrote a piece for the Spongebob Squarepants musical, and in 2017 he took on a leading role in the Tony-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots.

After the release and tour of the album Pray For The Wicked, it became quiet around Panic! At The Disco, but now the band is back with a vengeance: the new longplayer Viva Las Vengeance will be released in August 2022.
